This sea salt is produced in salt fields that have existed since the prehistoric era in the Trapani region of Sicily, and is made with the unique characteristics of the Sicilian seawater.
It is a rich, slightly spicy salt.
We draw crystal clear seawater from the waters connecting Trapani to the Egadi Islands into our own salt fields, and then hand-harvest solar sea salt using the same methods that have remained unchanged since ancient times.
The blue sea of Sicily, the scorching sun, and the hot winds boil down in the salt fields, gradually increasing the salt concentration of this delicious salt. Fino (fine grain) is the perfect shape for finishing dishes and daily salads, but it is also a versatile type that can be used for boiling pasta and cooking.
